Praise for God
Believes in You
See some of Buddy's fans HERE !
"Hi Holly Bea my name is Ashley Rose I am 8 years old. When I read your book
it changed my hole life. Well I already believe in God but at Emerald Heights
Elementery there was a bully who was bulling me. But the day after I read God
Believes in You I talked to the bully and now we are best friends.
Thanks to you I can't wate to read another book of yours. when I grow up
I am going to be a author just like you."
Your friend Ashley Rose
"No matter how old you are life is always throwing
things at you that upset you, that worry you, that frighten you, and that
hurt you. The hard part is to keep going all the same and to have faith
that there is always someone who believes in you no matter what; that special
someone who offers comfort just by being there.
"We see the kinds of things that can happen to a person
through Buddy, a bull-mastiff with a sad face, who comes up against his
fair share of trials. There is the time when Buddy sees some dalmatians helping
firemen put out a fire. Their obvious skills leave Buddy feeling more than
a little inadequate. Then there is the time that Buddy upsets a picnic table
and causes an awful mess. He also gets caught red-pawed when he swipes some
sausages. And, what about the time when the squirrels are bombarding him with
acorns. The big hound feels as small and can be as they hurl their missiles at
him and mock him.
"In all these circumstances, Buddy manages to remember
that 'God believes' in him and that he is not alone. After all, we all
make mistakes. Buddy shows us through his adventures and misadventures that God
is also there when there are the good times, helping one make the right decisions,
helping one to do the right thing.
"Through the funny antics of her bull-mastiff the author
shows us how easy it is to get bogged down by things if one forgets that
one is not alone and that there is always hope. There is always that one special
being by one side through the tough times and through the good times.
"With an uplifting message and accompanied by Kim Howard¹s
expressive, touching, and attractive watercolor artwork, this is a book
which would suit readers of all ages and backgrounds."

"When I started the classes at the Southeastern Writers Association annual conference,
I wasn¹t sure I wanted to attend the ‘Writing for Young Readers' class,
but after one session, I was hooked. I didn¹t miss a single one. Holly taught
us everything from how to develop a theme and characters to how to market a book
for children. She has a good grasp of the whole process from the origin of an
idea for a children¹s book to the book signing."
